Obituary

 helen ann franklin, 82, of arnoldsburg, wv died friday, september 8, 2017 at worthington

nursing and rehabilitation center in parkersburg, wv after an extended illness.

She was born december 28, 1934 daughter of the late charles and lucia berthinet.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, william franklin.

Helen spent many years in new york city, where she performed as a concert violinist. It was there that she met her future husband, bill. After their marriage in 1981, they established travel agencies in several states on the east coast before retiring to west virginia. Helen devoted much of her life to the nurture of dogs and cats that had been abandoned or mistreated. Hundreds of older and strayed animals spent their happiest days in her loving and compassionate care.

Helen was devout parishioner of holy redeemer catholic church in spencer.

A memorial mass will be held at a late date.
