Funerals

The funeral is for the living…It offers you a chance to express openly your love…gratitude…respect…and grief. This gives you a chance to accept the finality of death and begin emotional adjustment to the loss of your loved one.

Contacting a funeral home where a licensed funeral director will assist you in making the right choices makes funeral arrangements. You will discuss openly your needs and wishes all in details including cost, time of funeral and visitation services and other matters such as opening and closing of the grave.

Cremation

Cremation is a process during which the the human remains are reduced to their original elements by the use of intense heat. The body must be enclosed in some type of alternative container. Following the cremation process you may still have the option of a Memorial Service, or Graveside Service. You may also have the option of a funeral service prior to cremation. Many people are unaware of the different options that we have to offer with cremation. Ask your funeral director to explain these to you. You can decide what options would best suit your needs.

Music

We make available our organist to play the selections of your favorite songs. If you do not want our organist, we offer a selection of tape music or you can provide your own selections to be played during the visitation and service.  If you prefer, we can provide an organist to play your loved ones favorite songs during the service.  If you would like to use CD’s or Tapes we can also provide you with the proper equipment.  We can accommodate your request from a simple tape to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. 

Flowers

Flowers play a functional role, adding warmth to the service, and it also provides visible emotional support during the time of bereavement. Flowers help you say what is often difficult to express. Make your floral tribute special:

Things have changed quite a lot in the past few years.  More people are personalizing their service more with the use of photos, and their favorite flowers.  We can order the flowers for you or you may take care of this yourself.

Personalization

Personalizing a service can be very simple.  All we need to know is your loved ones favorite hobby, flower, and  whatever you can provide us.  We can display items for viewing.  Such as a cook, displaying their favorite recipe books, or the golfer, displaying golf clubs.  We have a glass top table were you can display your favorite photos.  This can make it a more warmer and cheerful time.  Framed photos and photos albums make for a nice conversation piece.  We now offer a DVD or VHS Tape of several photos put together of your loved one and family.   This can be a selection of your favorite photos given to us.  This will be something you can cherish for the rest of your life. 

Hair Stylist

We can provide a hair stylist to style your loved ones hair, or make arrangements for you to use your own hairdresser.

Receptions

We offer receptions at our facility or help you organize them at a local restaurant or church of your choice.  Receptions can be as simple as serving punch, coffee, and cookies, to a more elaborate sit down meal.
