Arnold Russell “Jack” Hall departed from this life to be with his Lord on March 8, 2019, after a long illness, at St. Francis Select Hospital. He was 78. He was born June 13, 1940.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Hall; mother, Clara Hunt; and his beloved nephew and friend, Timothy Summers. He fought a good fight and our loss is Heaven’s gain.
Brother Jack was raised in Clay County. He was a worker in the timber and logging industry until he was disabled by a logging accident. He met the “love of his life,” Janet, in 1990 and they were married in February 12, 1991. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by the late Reverend Jack Long in 1990 and received the Holy Ghost in April 1991. Brother and Sister Hall were together for 28 years until he departed. In those 28 years, they tried together to bring souls to the Lord. He attended Christ Temple Church, the Praise and Prayer Church, and at times Keystone Apostolic Church and North Charleston Apostolic Church. He enjoyed riding his three-wheeler bicycle with a Jesus license plate on it on the East End for years. He loved trying to find bargains here and there.
Brother Hall is survived by his loving wife, Janet M. Hall; stepsons, Charles “Eddie” Anderson and Richard (Donna) Anderson; grandson, Richard “Rich” (Olivia) Anderson; great – grandchildren, Elijah, Neveah, Kadence; granddaughter, Bethany Anderson (Jeremy Gibson); stepson, Danny (Becky) Anderson; granddaughter, Crystal L.
