Obituary

Dana g. Smith, 86 , of charleston, wv formerly of olathe, ks passed away thursday, december 6, 2018.

Dana was a wonderful father and loving husband. He served in the army during the korean war, then he went on to be a salesman and manager in the hardware business.

He was preceded in death by his of wife of 63 years, colleen r. Smith, his son, jay e. Smith, parents and an older brother.

He is survived by his daughter, joy m. Ballard and her husband, michael j. Ballard.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 to noon wednesday, december 19, 2018 at penwell-gabel olathe kansas chapel, followed by the funeral service at noon. Burial will follow at oak lawn memorial gardens.
