  1. I first met Al when I went to work at the DuPont Belle Plant in June, 1967 and a friendship was immediately born. We were in different groups and only met occasionally until I took up golf about 1980 and found Al to be, and become ,my biggest but friendly competitor. We made numerous golfing trips all over the eastern USA and normally Al and I traveled and roomed together on those trips. We became very close and after our retirement I moved to South Carolina but we still met up for golf outings. Found Al to be a man of integrity who could talk with knowledge on a wide variety of topics. I came back to WV to visit family on June 1, 2020 and contacted Al to meet me for lunch at the Tidewater. We had a long lunch and then found a bench out in the Mall and talked for a long time. This was the last time I got to speak with Al and now realize how very much God blessed me for that last opportunity. My sincerest condolences to Nancy and family and pray that God will give you the grace and strength to now move forward without Al. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

  2. I first met Al In 1978 when I was assigned to Meyhacrylates to train as a process operator. I was very impressed by his friendliness and willingness to share his knowledge when asked. He was able to deliver that knowledge to those unschooled in the engineering or chemistry disciplines in such a way as to make it understandable. Al was one of the nicest men I’ve known and I am proud to be able to count him among my friends. Rest In Peace Allen.

  3. Nancy, we are so saddened to hear of Allen’s passing. Our prayers are with all of you.
