Obituary

George samuels, 79 of corte madera, ca formerly of charleston, wv passed away at home on tuesday, april 28, 2015.

George worked with the wv state road commission until 1968, then with the united states government as an attorney and judge until 1986.

He was a member of b’nai jacob synagogue where he and his wife were active members until 1970 when he moved to washington, dc.

He was a graduate of charleston high school 1953, wvu and west virginia law.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, harriet weiner samuels; parents, rev. Benjamin and sarah samuels; brother, joseph samuels, and sister, marcia berman.

He is survived by his wife, joan isenberg samuels, of springfield, va; children, susan samuels muck (kevin) of tiburon, ca, tobi samuels bradshaw (bart) of dallas, tx, jennifer blacker (scott) of potomac, md, and michelle pearlstein (david) of springfield, va; brother, maurice samuels of chicago, il and eight grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.M. Friday, may 1, 2015 at b’nai jacob eternal home,south charleston, wv with rabbi victor urecki officiating. Processional will leave the funeral home at 10:00.Am.For the cemetery.
