Harry E. McVey, II, 73, of Charleston, passed on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Harry was born on May 9, 1946 in Charleston to the late Harry and Opal Raines McVey.
He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1964 and attended West Virginia State College.
Harry was retired with over 40 years of service from General Electric Apparatus Shop, where he specialized in large engine repair.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church on the West Side of Charleston and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Viet Nam Era in aircraft maintenance.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brent McVey and sister, Helena Sankoff.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer McVey of Charleston; grandsons, Christian and Ayden; nephews, Mark, Merle and Michael; and host of many other nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Donel C. Kinnard State Veterans Cemetery, Institute with Pastor Charles Williams officiating.
