  1. Mr. Panzera was a gentleman and a great conversationalist. Like countless men in Charleston, I enjoyed sitting in his chair, just to hear him talk. He was a good barber too, and gave a scalp massage that nearly put me to sleep. We talked about golf, and he truly enjoyed the game. I think he was a gentle man and a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

  2. Phil, my condolences to you and your family for your loss. Our fathers worked together cutting hair at the Daniel Boone those many years ago. I remember Mr. Panzera as a fine gentleman. It was always a pleasure getting my haircut with you guys.
I have a picture to share with you if you would like to reach me at my e-mail below.

  3. Dear Mary Ann & Phil:

It is with a sorrowful heart that I send these condolences. Joe was an incredible man, father and barber. I received my very first haircut, and many more to follow at the gentle hands of your father.
I will always have fond memories of conversations with Joe as he cut my hair. We currently live in South Carolina and I do wish I was there to remember a one of a kind man that will always bring joy to my heart when I think of him. We were all blessed to have the parents that we had. Love you guys and just know you are in our prayers.

    Joe & Sandy Zando
