Obituary

William L. “Bill” Patton, 62 of Montgomery, WV walked into the gates of Heaven on October 30, 2020 after a battle of cancer and COVID. He was a retired member of the Brothers of the Wheel. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Patton, Sr. “Ole Man” and his first wife, Sherri Patton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Jo Ann “Phillips Patton of Dunbar; sons, Jeremy (Donna) of Witcher Creek, Levi and Hunter of Canton, Ohio, William and Elijah of Hughes Creek; sisters, Teresa of Elkhart, IN and Margaret of Dunbar; brothers, Shawn of Huntington, and Keith Stewart of Hurricane; granddaughters, Brittany, Raegan and Madisyn of Charleston;
nephews and niece, Shane of Smithers, Marissa and Noah of Dunbar; great niece and nephews, Kaitlynn, Donovan and Cameron of Powellton; previous wives, Elena Patton of Canton, OH, and Tiea Rucker of Hughes Creek and a very special little girl Pa Pa.

Upon his wishes he will be cremated.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the lot beside Montgomery Baptist Church , Montgomery, WV with Pastor Tony Rumberg officiating.

In lieu of flowers we asked that you donate a toy to the “Toys for Tots”.

If you are planning on attending the service please wear a mask and stay within the social distancing.

We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord!
