Obituary

Rev. Homer t. Brown, sr.76, of cross lanes wv went home to be with the lord, tuesday, january 8, 2019, at hubbard hospice house, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Rev. Brown was born july 9, 1942 in beardfork, wv. He was the third of four children born to alice and jessie brown. He was baptized at an early age. As a young child his family moved to new york city where he attended grade school, before moving back to west virginia to finish his education.  as a teenager he worked for st. Francis hospital from there he went to work for the pepsi cola bottling company, he retired after 47 years of service. On may 8, 1966 he married his childhood sweetheart, henrietta moore, to that union they were blessed with two children, daughter, kimberly brown and son, home brown, jr.
Rev. Brown received is ordination certificate june 27, 1997 and became the pastor of ebenezer missionary baptist church, handley, wv. He was a member of the deacons and ministers association. He was also a member of the teamster local # 175 for 47 years and a union stewart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, alice and jessie brown and sister, jesse faucette.

Rev. Brown leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 52 years, henrietta brown; daughter, kimberly brown of chesapeake,wv; and son, homer (danielle) brown of charleston, wv; brothers, hollie (gloria) brown, of rand, wv; john henry brown of glasgow, ww; five grandchildren; uncle bishop sherman watkins of columbus, oho and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.

Funeral service will be held at noon, saturday, january 19, 2019 at all nations revival center, academy drive, dunbar, wv. Entombment will follow at tyler mountain memory gardens, cross lanes, wv.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
