Obituary

Roger dean cottrell, 67, passed away at his home in chesapeake surrounded by his family thursday, september 12, 2019.

He was born may 10, 1952 in kanawha county, to hommer and  roxie (mullins) cottrell.

Roger attended marmet junior high school  in marmet

roger loved to hunt, fish and his dog’s, shorty, jackson, and his grand puppy, peanut.  on april 23, 1985, he married patty ann deusenberry, together they had three sons.   roger worked at bob evan’s for 35 years .

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, patty; sons, donnie of east bank, michael of charleston, and jesse and his wife, janice of dunbar; one grandchild, bryson; and is siblings, jack, ernestine, and patricia; his stepbrothers, and sisters, david, donald, carolyn, rosemary and star; and many nieces and nephews.  he is preceded in death by his mother, roxie,, and father, hommer; his   stepmother, sylvia, brothers, hommmer, keith, jimmy,; stepbrother, kenny; sisters, doris, and darlene.

A celebration of his life  will be held at 2:00 p.M. Saturday, september 21, 2019 at the spring fork baptist church, campbells creek .
