Obituary

Danny craig mclamore completed this marathon we call life on monday, june 3, 2019 with his loving wife and only child, a daughter, by his side.

Danny was born september 28, 1947 in shreveport, louisiana, but he spent most of his life in new orleans, which was always the home of his heart. An avid and accomplished runner, he was often seen running all over the city. In fact, he was more reliable than the u.S. Postal service when it came to getting his run in. “neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night” kept him from his running.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, glynn willard mclamore and norma dyson mclamore. Left to treasure sweet memories of danny, his devoted wife of 51 years, gena ferrari mclamore, his loving daughter, grendel mclamore levy (israel), five grandchildren ““ randall brockmann jr., tylor, isabella, angelina and eileen levy ““ his beloved sisters, judy mclamore laroche (bill), and wendy mclamore miller (dennis), and many nieces and nephews.

While danny’s family mourns his passing, they take great comfort in the fact that he is no longer fighting an uphill battle with lewy body dementia, the cruel disease that robbed him of his mobility, his memory and his dignity.
