Reverend Cornell DeWayne Byers

Reverend Cornell DeWayne Byers, 68 of Haines City, Florida went home to be with the Lord July 2, 2019 after a long illness.  He was surrounded by family during the time of passing at the Promise Village Hospital, in Oxford,

He graduated from East Bank High School and Ben Franklin Career College.  He attended Southern Theological Seminary Bible College.

Rev. Cornell Byers was an employee at FMC, Kanawha County School Board, retired after 10 years of service also retired in November 2018 from K.R.T after serving 5 years.

Rev. Cornell Byers had pastored several churches in the Charleston area, New Covenant Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Carbondale and First Missionary Baptist Church of Vandalia

Service for his home-going celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at First Baptist Church, 432 Shrewsbury Street, Charleston, with Eulogist, Rev. Isaac Kenney

Friends may call for visitation two hours prior to the service at the church.

Entombment will follow in Kanawha Memorial Garden, Glasgow, WV

Arrangements are in  the care of Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home 1118 Virginia St East, Charleston, WV  25301
